As they say, everything must be done in moderation. After all, why should you miss out on the trips to the beach and picnics in summer and the long walks in fall season, when you can enjoy all of it with just a few tips to stay safe in the sun.
Wear protective clothing
Long sleeved shirts and long pants help cover any exposed parts of the skin naturally. Wear loose and light fabrics to give your skin room to breathe. Opt for a wide-brimmed hat to protect your face, ears and scalp. While sunglasses may double up as a fashion statement, it also works to protect your eyes from the harmful UV rays that can cause eye concerns with continuous exposure to the sun. Avoid stepping out when the sun is at its peak
If you can avoid stepping out between 10 am – 4pm, when the sun is at its peak, it could help to protect your skin naturally. Plan your outdoor activities before or after these times. Let children play in the shade if they have to be outdoors, where there is natural ventilation and cooling.
