Terms and Conditions

GENERAL Terms & Conditions:

These Terms and Conditions are in addition to, and do not in any way reduce or vary the obligations in any agreement to purchase a Solar System ('System') from Solar Power Nation, should you choose to do so.

We may amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Any amended Terms and Conditions supersede any previous versions. As you are bound by these Terms and Conditions, we recommend that you periodically refer to them.

1. Prices that we advertise on our website and on any other campaigns are applicable only for standard install.

Specifications for a standard install are as follows:

House should have the following features: The roof is pitched and the house is single storey, and the meter box is of the following standards:
  1. Fibre fire-proof back board
  2. The casing of the motherboard is made out of metal and not wood/chipboard
  3. No loose wires which should be neatly tucked
  4. No old ceramic switches - only circuit breaker switches
  5. Enough space should be available to install an isolation switch
  6. Refer to 'Australian Standard AS-6002-1999 Domestic electric meter enclosure' for further details

Property should be in the metro area, which is up to 80 km from our warehouse in Sydney at Prestons:

Install address must:
  1. Have clear, unhindered vehicle access for our installers
  2. Have a completed home having wiring/power supply complying with current electrical standards
  3. not be under construction
  4. Have a suitable location for the inverter. If location is exposed or is in the open, a weather proof cover may be required

2. The advertised price is only valid for Pitched Tin roof (Flat roof attracts extra cost) & single storey house. Extra charges will be applicable for tile roof or multi storey property.

  • The advertised price is only applicable if the premises where the solar system being installed is eligible for Solar Rebate according to the Small-scale Renewable Energy Scheme.
  • You authorise Solar Power Nation to create and apply for STCs in your name and to receive the payment on your behalf. You agree to sign whatever documentation we may reasonably require to give effect to the assignment of STCs.
  • If Solar Power Nation does not receive payment for the STCs, for any reason whatsoever, you are required to pay the amount owing within 14 days from the day of the receipt of notice.
  • Solar Power Nation may terminate any agreement to supply a System should the government rebate or other benefit, including STCs, be reduced, discontinued, withdrawn or cancelled prior to the installation of your System. If we do terminate the sale for this reason you will be entitled to a full refund.

3. There may be additional cost involve when installing the system depending on the structure and situation of your property. Possible additional costs may involve the following:

  • Electricity meter changeovers, meter board upgrades, time switch installations or repairs, electrical inspections, trenching works or any other similar works will not be performed by Solar Power Nation and are not included in the advertised or quoted price
  • If the existing switchboard and/or electrical infrastructure at the installation address, or any other surfaces or structures where the System is to be installed, do not comply with all relevant legal requirements (including all relevant codes and regulations) you may need to repair, replace or upgrade those at your own cost prior to the installation.
  • We will not perform any building work required to permit installation of the System.

4. The price advertised is discounted and thus is only applicable to those who will be paying for the whole system on the day of installation and not on Finance.

5. A minimum deposit of 10% is payable when ordering your solar system. This deposit is paid when agreeing to buy the Solar System from us.

6. The Goods remain the property of Solar Power Nation until the purchase price is paid in full. Until you pay the full purchase price, you will be the custodian of the goods. The following points must also be adhered to:

  • You must keep the goods in your possession.
  • You must keep the goods in good condition and protect them from any damage.
  • The goods must be kept in a location appropriate to the nature of the goods, separately and marked so that the goods are clearly and easily identifiable as the Solar Power Nation's property.
  • If you change the location of the goods, we must be informed immediately.
  • You must under no condition sell, assign, change, pledge, lien or other encumbrance to be created in relation to the goods.
  • If you sell any of the goods while they remain the property of Solar Power Nation, the proceeds from the sale are owed to us and must be paid immediately.
  • If you do not pay us the purchase price of the goods by the due date, we may require you to deliver the goods back to us. The cost of delivering the goods back must be borne by you.
  • 48 hours' notice will be given by us to you for the return of the goods. If you do not return the goods within 48 hours, you must allow Solar Power Nation to enter your premises to take possession of the goods.

7. In case where we have installed the Solar System at you property and you do not make the full payment within the due date. We deserve the right to proceed with legal actions to recover the money owed to us. In such cases, we also deserve the right to recover any costs related to recovering your debt to us. This is including but not limited to Solicitor's Fees, Court Filling Fees etc.

8. Cancellation of any order after the cooling off period will incur an administrative fee of $200. Any fee charged by energy suppliers for approval of your solar system will not be refunded to you.

9. Solar Power Nation will beat any competitor's quote, provided it fulfils the following conditions:

  • Must be a formal quote and not a verbal quote or an email confirmation.
  • The price quoted by the other company cannot be a liquidation sale price.
  • The price guarantee can only be redeemed once per customer.
  • The price guarantee offer is applicable only for the metro areas (as defined in section # 1-B above)
  • The price guarantee is only for products with the exact same model number and specifications as the Solar Power Nation 's product.
  • The price guarantee only applies to currently stocked items.
  • The price guarantee does not apply to trade prices or commercial quantities.

10. All the necessary information must be provided by home owners or the relevant account holder. Any incomplete or incorrect information provided by you may result in a delayed response.

11. Any service related to solar products, depends on warranty provided by Solar power Nation supplier. We do not provide any warranty other than that provided by the manufacturer.

12. We will not be held liable for any damage to the solar system caused by fire, flood, storms or other accidents.

13. Solar Power Nation does not provide any guarantees regarding daily energy production by the solar system. Solar production output varies depending on the weather, direction of roof, shades and other factors.

14. It is the customers' responsibility to obtain all the necessary permits and permissions to have solar installed on the property - this includes but not limited to Council Building approvals and Permits, Strata Title Permission and Landlords permission. However, from time to time, Solar Power Nation will make the grid Connection application to the customer's energy provider.

In order to use the website, we may require information from you in order to provide the best service possible. All correspondence may also be collected and stored, particularly in regard to sales, support and accounts, including Email. Any details collected from customers is required in order to provide you with our products and/or services, and a high level of customer service. Correspondence is recorded in order to provide service references, and to assist in our staff development. When Credit Card details are collected, we simply pass them on in order to be processed as required. We never permanently store complete Credit Card details. Delivery Policy:

After ordering online, you will receive an email confirmation from eWAY containing your order details (if you have provided your email address). We will normally confirm receipt of your order within a few minutes of ordering. We will attempt to send your goods via within 14 working days; however if the approval from your energy providers takes longer than usual, delivery will take a little longer. We will normally confirm receipt of your order within a few minutes of ordering.

Refund & Returns Policy:

If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with your order, You can cancel your order and request for a refund within 10 days after the order. This refund policy does not apply to goods which have been worn or used, damaged after delivery, or if any attempt has been made to alter the product or if they have been dropped or broken.
